I’m thinking swarm - that’s the name for group of electric eels. It’s a “sprinkle” of fireflies, so that doesn’t work at all.
I have no idea what they were doing here. Sometimes working in a soulless glass tower has its perks. Sometimes.

Did you see a white SLS Black Series parked there a few months ago? Nice cars there sometimes.

You should reconsider! Very cool pieces of tech wrapped in a beautiful package.

Fuck that let’s go do a test drive out in Long Island (I know they have a store on 25th Street but Manhattan traffic is no place for a proper test drive).

I just don’t care for electric cars. I like having my engine noises and linear throttle and the ability to refuel quickly whenever I want even if it costs some money. I don’t need or want unlimited torque, all this tech that will be obsolete in a few years time and, or expensive as hell to fix or replace, or all these technological distractions in my car for that matter. All I need is an engine, a transmission, a radio(I don’t even listen to the radio anymore), seats, and AC and heat as my creature comforts. I don’t need all that gadgetory. I just need a simple fun car. Apparently with all the tech and advancements in the world, that’s too much to ask for. Call me a luddite, Philistine, or waxing poetic, I just don’t care for them. At the end of the day, to me, they’re nothing more than giant RC cars.
EDIT: also, if you didn’t see my post this morning, I’m against appeasing tree huggers and environmentalists in general.

I am very much in favor of simple designs and less technology - I’ve written about it several times - but I think it’s a bit shortsighted to apply that bias to a car like the Model S. The whole point is that it’s a giant chunk of future sitting in your driveway; disliking it just because of its tech-heavy approach is like hating on a supercar for being loud. You can say “That’s not for me” while acknowledging that the the car is quite an achievement for an independent manufacturer.
I also don’t think that its development and early success come from a desire to appease environmentalists, whatever that means. Musk saw a hole in the market (really an absence of a market) and went after it.
